Groundwork complete at Roman Corner Development

Good progress has been made in the last month on the trust's long-awaited Roman Corner development of 15x one bedroom flats. Groundwork is complete, the beam and block ground floor is currently being installed on site and the external walls are almost to damp proof course level.

The contractors, AJC, are currently in the process of creating both a community engagement board and an area history board for West Walks, which will soon be on display giving an insight into the finds from the archaeology digs that were undertaken prior to starting on site.

These flats will be let at social rent to people aged up to age 35 who are employed in Dorchester, with a single income of up to £30,000 or a combined income of up to £60,000. Anyone interested in renting one of the flats should register for housing with Dorset Council by following this link: Register for housing - Dorset Council
